Stay safe when you meet

Meet in public — a mall, restaurant or busy area. Do not meet alone.
Check the IMEI — dial *#06# and make sure it matches the box.
Test the phone — screen, cameras, Face ID, speaker, charging port.
Check battery — in Settings > Battery > Battery Health. Under 80%? Ask for less.
Bring a friend — do not go alone to meet someone you do not know.
Pay with MoMo — cash is risky. Mobile money leaves a record.

Read this before you swap or sell

Valmont Gadgets is just a marketplace. We give buyers and sellers a place to list and meet each other. We are not part of any swap or sale between two people.

We are not responsible for:

  • The state of any phone listed by another user
  • Fights, scams or fraud between buyers and sellers
  • Phones that turn out to be stolen, broken or not as described
  • Loss, theft or damage when you meet to swap
  • Cash or MoMo payments sent from one user to another
  • People who do not show up, cancel or fail to pay

Every seller must show:

  • A working Ghana phone number
  • A valid Ghana Card number
  • A live selfie taken when you sign up — no masks, sunglasses or filters. We match it to your Ghana Card.
  • We keep your selfie safe and never show it to other users.
  • If your selfie does not match your Ghana Card, your account will be turned down or banned.

When you use this page you agree that:

  • It is your job to check the phone before you pay or swap
  • You meet people at your own risk and should stay safe
  • Valmont Gadgets does not promise any listing or seller is real
  • We can take down any listing at any time
  • Lying (fake Ghana Card, wrong phone condition, stolen phone) will get you banned for good

What a permanent ban means:

  • Your account is closed — you cannot sign in again
  • Your phone number is blocked — you cannot open a new account with it
  • Your Ghana Card is flagged — no new account can use it
  • All your listings come down straight away
  • If we confirm fraud, we may share your name, phone and Ghana Card with the other user and with Valmont
  • You cannot buy, sell, swap or run promos on Valmont Gadgets again
  • You do not get money back for any paid promos

You will be banned for things like:

  • Listing a stolen phone (blocked IMEI)
  • Using a fake or stolen Ghana Card
  • Using a fake face photo (someone else's picture, AI picture, screenshot)
  • Lying about a phone's condition (e.g. saying "Grade A" with a cracked screen)
  • Scamming another user (taking money and not bringing the phone)
  • Opening new accounts to get around an old ban
  • Using the page for anything illegal

Valmont Gadgets only gives you a place to list, checks your Ghana Card, and can boost your listing for a fee. We do not check, promise or settle any deal between two users. But we will ban users who break these rules to keep everyone safe.
